Update Max Net Liq
Update a subaccount’s Max Net Liquidity.
Available to: Organization administrators (Demo); the organization administrator who owns the subaccount (Live)
Environments: Demo, Live
Rate Limit: No endpoint-specific limit
Set a subaccount’s Max Net Liquidity (maxNetLiq). What you can set depends on the domain:
- In Demo, an organization administrator can set
maxNetLiqto any value, to configure or adjust a subaccount’s risk parameters. - In Live, the organization administrator who owns the subaccount can raise
maxNetLiq, for the cases the automatic reset on trading-permission approval doesn’t cover.
The Live path is raise-only: a request that would lower maxNetLiq is rejected, and the current value is left unchanged. Re-sending the current value is allowed and refreshes its timestamp.
NinjaTrader enables the Live raise-only control per organization, so work with the NinjaTrader Support team to turn it on. The Demo action needs no enablement.
HTTP 200 with errorText set, not an error status. Check errorText to confirm the new value was applied.Common Failure Scenarios
- In Live, the requested value is below the current value. The raise is rejected and the current value is unchanged.
- In Live, the caller doesn’t own the subaccount, the account isn’t an open subaccount, or the feature isn’t enabled for the organization. The request is denied.
