# Modify Password

POST https://demo.tradovateapi.com/v1/user/modifypassword

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Request

This endpoint expects a ModifyPassword.

- `password` (string, required)
- `currentPassword` (string, required)
- `userId` (long, optional)

## Response

- `hibpHint` (enum, optional) — EmailAndPasswordCompromised, PasswordCompromised
  - Allowed values: `EmailAndPasswordCompromised`, `PasswordCompromised`

- `passwordExpirationTime` (datetime, optional)
- `userStatus` (enum, optional) — Active, Closed, Initiated, TemporaryLocked, UnconfirmedEmail

- `userId` (long, optional)
